« on: March 20, 2015, 03:45:37 PM »
Hello ,

I was trying to re -install any email client for AOS 3.0. The last i used was YAM , CIRCA 2004 .

So , Which is any good mail client are using nowdays . I tried to installa any YAM version from Aminet , and the official YAM Site, but some MUI update request . Then i made it ; but and when i try to start the YAM , show me a message saying someting like "need Thebars.mcc 26.12 " , so, i installed , but in next attemps to load YAM , show again the message about " the bars . mcc " .

Anyone know how solve this, or any other client suggest.

Thanks

Regards!:afro:

If you had an older version of Thebars.mcc before, you have to reboot in order to remove the old version from memory. Or shut down all MUI apps and enter avail flush in a shell window. With a little prayer this should remove MUI from memory, too.

Yam needs a lot of supporting MCCs, not just TheBar - NList, TextEditor, and several others. Check the docs to see what you need, otherwise you'll find it reminding you about each one in turn. That could mean several reboots if the "avail flush" command isn't successful!
