Amiga cd games with usb cd-rom ?
« on: March 13, 2010, 02:35:11 PM »
I'm trying to run Napalm using an external usb cd-drive.
The game installs fine from the cd, but when I run it, this error occures: "ERROR #0008: Invalid external module...".
And I also ran the Napalm setup, configured the usbscsi.device as my cd-drive.

I'm thinking that my usb cd-drive is not working properly, or it can't. And there's something "fishy" about my cd mount setup, I have to write the command "cd0" in a shell before the cd icon pops up on my wb desktop.

Have anyone here succesfully ran a CD game with an external USB cd-drive?

Thanks

Maybe Napalm wants to send commands for CDDA to the drive and Simple SCSI is enabled? Other than that, on a file access level, there should be no difference to a "normal" cd drive.
