Amiga ANSI

Hi

Man I wish I understood this. I've been reading for days now about Amiga ANSI and I am literally none the wiser. Is there and idiots guide anywhere. And I mean an idiots guide.

What exactly do you want to know?

Here is a list of control sequences you can send to a console window: https://wiki.amigaos.net/wiki/Console_Device#Control_Sequences_for_Window_Output

I wanted to learn more about bbs scene and text mode art. Trying to discover what exactly is ansi/ascii art. I have seen the style so much on demo disks and the like and wanted to know more.... like this site.

https://blog.xero.nu/bbs_scene

I think I am getting there, but I have to say it's all a little mysterious in the way it is described. Fun trying to find out.

Thanks.

I think you are over thinking it SCUZZ, this stuff has been around since 8 bit days, like you and me.
Its just character codes for formatting output, text.
