Gee thanks for being so positive guys. I am a developer for this phone and an Amiga and AROS user still, you are making me feel so good about this.. I'd just report that your site works great from the phone's new web browser, I'd also say that suspect UAE and 8 bit emulation could be on the way for it too..

I think you guys are going to get a real suprise in a month out and on the marketplace  app store by the end of the year..

If you are curious about the app that I have been working on (think max headroom but not for comedy) for search on any number of different datasources (Oauth/REST, Open Data protocol) with a human host that you can talk to and will speak back to you..

check out our early prototypes..

You guys are going to get a suprise about this phone how easy it is to develop for it versus iphone and android and how many apps are on the way because of this.. I know how many apps are on the way.. Stay tuned mid October and see for yourself. This isn't Windows Mobile..

You have just confirmed that Windows Phone 7 has at least one developer. I would hope that this website would work OK from it's web browser since that would be a big fail if it could not even do something basic like that. Engaget covered this event too.

http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/10/microsoft-celebrates-windows-phone-7-rtm-with-funeral-parade-for/

Maybe this phone will be a cheap way to run UAE if they get blow out like the Kin phone for 99 cents after the market rejects it.

What's all the fuss about, reckon I'm the only person on this planet that doesn't own any kind of mobile phone... :)

Apart from my landline/home phone, my only other form of communication with the outside world are two old beans tins and a really long piece of string... :D

(although I only seem to get the sound of silence on it these days, wonder what happened to my imaginary friend.. :( )

You know this is not the Kin, this product was done in house, it's not from a company that they bought (Danger you remember the sidekick phone that paris hilton used to run around with)...

This is a completely different and good experience.. Don't talk to me about "they" as programmers I don't talk to you about things I can't do for my own self ;-) Not ready to announce anything right now though..

Best wishes always..

Win Phone 7 is so good the photos and videos of the funeral were captured with an Android phone by a M$ employee.

http://hothardware.com/News/Windows-Phone-7-RTM--Funeral-for-iPhone-and-Microsoft-Holds-It/

Your probably a decent developer DonnyEMU, you should really investigate making apps for Android or the iPhone so you can make some money. The problem with Win Phone 7 is no one is going to buy one. How can you sell apps when you have no customers? Millions were burned on Windows Mobile and they will not soon forget.

It must really suck to work at a technology company that encourages this sort of thing. Plus, they have to live and work in the Pacific Northwest, where the air is clean and everything is green. I much prefer being chained to a cubicle sixteen hours a day in a windowless building that used to be a Price Club (Costco). (It's not usually sixteen hours a day, but I really do work in a cube in a windowless warehouse.)

Folks what you are calling a funeral was not a funeral.. That's how these rumors get started, don't take everything you read as fact. That was the Windows Phone 7 developer tools team celebrating the fact that their work was done and they went gold on the tools which happens on September 16th..

Of course when you work on something you think it's the best thing out there and you have a great team.. If this had been Apple would it been has met as negatively by those who have comments? As far as I know (and I know a couple of people in the pictures) this was not an iphone funeral as much as the fact that most of us who have iphones are happy enough with this phone that as soon as it's publically available we will turn our iphones off for good.. Most of these people already have this phone 24/7 obviously..

It just shows you how exaggeration can lead to people here trashing other platforms and people celebrating their own accomplishments..

Shame on you guys.. They have a right to be happy about things they did. The product is quite revolutionary on many fronts.. We'll have to see how it does long term.. It does have a steeper battle with Android, not so much with iphone and IOS devices because Apple alienated a lot of it's developers (like Adobe) with restrictions that the most recently relaxed after getting a ton of bad press about it..

M$ opened themselves up to being made fun of by having a funeral for products that have been a lot more successful then their own. Having transexuals in pink dresses march to celebrate the release of a phone is so over the top! No offense to trannes in pink dresses of course. M$ has much bigger problems then Win Phone 7 failing. MS stock has been in the toilet for over a decade.

Again, not really seeing the downside (as a technology worker) to a company that encourages employees to celebrate their accomplishments. Especially one that's hip on cross-dressing. (How do you know they're TS and not TG, TV, or just having fun? Or it could have been a muscular woman. It's sort of hard to measure shoulder-chest-waist-hip ratios while someone is dancing. And if she was TS, then she is a woman. Just sayin'.)
