Monty Python
« on: November 18, 2009, 10:38:41 PM »
I recently bought a copy of Monty Python's Flying Circus for the Amiga. After gobbling up the sausages and eggs, etc, and avoiding all the nasties, I finally looked at the disk. This disk is very different from the older versions I had - The name is even a joke on this one. I don't believe my earlier versions were Virgin, but I am not 100% sure. I AM sure the other weren't titles "Monthy Pitons Circing Flyus"!
Where did this thing come from?
A2000 GVP 40MHz \'030, 21Mb RAM SD/FF, 2 floppies, internal CD-ROM drive, micromys v3 w/laser mouse
A1000 Microbotics Starboard II w/2Mb 1080, & external floppy (AIRdrive)
C-128 w/1571, 1750, & Final Cartridge III+

Looks like that's the same disk over at HOL. I'm pretty sure mine had a red sticker for a label... don't remember if it was PAL or NTSC.

@motrucker

Mine is the same as you describe, from Virgin Games, with the "Monthy Pitons Circing Flyus" title on the disk.  I never considered that unusual for something from Monty Python. :)

Now that I'm looking at it... I wonder if it would be too geeky for me to wear the Mr. Gumby pin to work. ;)

It actually fits the Python demeanor rather well. It just threw me. I can't believe it took me so long to notice it!

I always liked the parts were you had to name that cheese, best piracy prevention system EVER.

Oh and the claw that took all of Mr Gumby's brains out.

This is one of those rare games that still works after all these years. I still get a chuckle or two with this one...
