Please take another photo, but this time get the disk animation in sync so they are in the same position in each photo ;-)

That's fab! How well does WinUAE run on an AcerOne? I had one and even with an nLited Windows installed it most programs ran at a crawl. But if WinUAE performs OK then I'd consider buying another as my emulator laptop - my project after payday is a portable Amiga + SNES + Megadrive + MAME et al machine, and an Acer which fits in my coat pocket (just about) deserves consideration.

@ninjasmiff

Your aspire one comes with ssd? windows virtual memory accesing to hd all time is the cause of downspeed in solid state disks, same aspire one with HD runs better.

Yep it was a SSD version, I didn't keep it long! Would a HD-ed Acer run WinUAE / MAME / zSNES at acceptable speed, do you think? Maybe the OP could report his findings (unless you have one too?) Cheers.

winuae ran perfectly with AGA emulation,under rtg mode it was faster than my A4000 68060, on a HP 2133, which has a slower VIA CPU.  The Aspire one should fly with winuae.  I've heard the MSI wind is a better netbook overall.

Fab TY for info. Would MAME require more or less processing power than WinUAE do you think? Sorry for all the questions! But as I say I'm looking to setup a single laptop/notebook with all my emulation stuff on it, right now my media centre PC has WinUAE; MAME et al on but I have to fight for screentime with a woman who is bloody *obssessed* with cooking programmes! So my own dinky machine I can decamp to the bedroom with would be perfect - that is until we have a spare room and I can permanently setup my hardware Amigas proper :-)

Mame runs good on the aspire one at least the games tested by me, with ssd maybe you can experience some slowndowns.

Fellas TY for info - looks like I'll be buying a HD-drived AcerOne then. I get my bonus on Friday and I deserve a new toy too :-D Will report back with findings and pictures of course.
