Wings of Fury 2?
« on: October 27, 2009, 08:23:25 PM »
I couldn't find any post considering Wings of Fury 2, a remake of the old Wings of Fury. Did no one notice this one? I'll give it a try later.

Its windows only, so that might be the obvious reason for this not being discussed on  Amiga forums. And its quite a step up in hardware requirements as well, minimum gforce3..

Hardware requirements should not be a problem. I got at least 3 of 4 outdated Gforce cards collecting dust. Which is one of the reasons for me dreaming about nvidia support in amiga OS....

So we shouldn't discuss WinUAE either because it's windows only?

I have to say, together with Visual Studio, .NET is actually a good piece of software made by Microsoft. *Quite* different than their previous software crimes.

I have to whole heartily agree.  I've been using VS with dot net for years and this stuff is just wonderful.  It always makes me wish that MS didn't make OSes so we could have tools like this on other platforms.   It's really hard to develop on other platforms when you get spoiled with tools like this.

And where did I say that it shouldnt be discussed?

I just replied to your question, about no one have noticed this and that you seemed surprised that it not was discussed on the forum. I simply stated a possible reason why it might not have been mentioned. But feel free discuss it :)

Now, to give the thread a bit more Amiga touch, we can ask if there is any chance that anyone wants to try to get this game ported to AmigaOS4.x?

After all, that was how the first Wings of Fury ended up on the Amiga, it was a port from another plattform.
