Not Really a Dealer, but so far I am impressed with service
« on: October 12, 2006, 05:38:26 PM »
Greetings:

I found a fellow who fixes A4000 Mainboards here in Kansas City (and he has the proper diagnostic tools as well).

His pricing seemed a bit high at first, but when you consider the "process" he does on each and every board he repairs, it is WELL worth the cost!

His Name is Ed Jeffries and the company is called Video Lab in Mission, Kansas USA.

Just a note on the process:

He cleans the board thoroughly using an ultrasonic bath and then he replaces any caps that are leaking or look like they may start leaking.  He does full diagnostics on the mainboard and then he actually replaces bad components (caps are already covered in the "diagnostic" part of his service).  The repairs range from $150 USD and up depending on the work to be performed and he spends a minimum of 4-5 hours on each board in labor.

Just wanted to pass this along!
