Feeling Abandoned and Lonely in 3D?
« on: November 07, 2009, 02:17:41 AM »
Chicago, Illinois – November 6th, 2009

For Immediate Release

Compelling 3D Upgrade Offer

Feeling abandoned and lonely since your 3D animation software provider abandoned Amiga and you with it? After all you spent good money on your Amiga 3D App and are sad that the developer went out of business or left the platform for greener Windows. Well, we have a great offer for you. If you can prove ownership of your competing 3D animation package we will offer you a very generous upgrade path to Aladdin 4D 5.0. It does not matter if you own old versions of Tornado 3D, Sculpt Animate 4D, TurboSilver, Imagine, VideoScape 3D, VistaPro, Cinema4D, WildFire 7 or even Sculpt 3D. It does not matter if the company that made your 3D software went out of business or no longer supports the Amiga version of their software. If you can prove you own it we will give you a discount. Why not upgrade to the only commercial 3D animation package still supported on AmigaOS and being upgraded for Amiga OS 4.x, MorphOS 2.x and AROS?

Contact with your proof of ownership via the link below. If you are willing to send us your old 3D animation program we can give you an even better discount. If you want to take advantage of this offer you have to hurry since it ends in 48 hours.

@ Pyromania,

Okay, normally, I'm the one who pops in with a smart ass comment on a forum, more in jest. However, this time, I am of legitimate questioning. I've never used Aladdin and since my migration to the PC world in 1999, I've moved to now using Maya. Maya provides me with just about all the tools I need for my 3D animation and modeling.

My question is this, what does Aladdin offer me, that Maya doesn't? Does it support NURBS and Sub Ds? What's the hair and cloth plugins like? How tempermental is it with fluids and particle effects. Does it require OS4? How effective is the skeletal system for rigging? In short, what does it have, other than a significant price drop, I'm sure, for me to migrate back to the Amiga platform?

I have no way of playing with it to test its limitations, hence all the questions. I ask, 'cos believe it or not, I'm rather impressed with that render.

\'No, sorry. I don\'t get my tits out. They\'re not actually real, you know? Just two halves of a grapefruit...\' - Miki Berenyi

\'And for future reference, it might be polite to ask someone if you can  quote them in your signature, rather than just citing them to make a  sales pitch.\' - Karlos. :rtf

@Methuselas

I don't think Aladdin 4D would be the right product for you. It is a entry level beginner 3D animation software package mainly for Amiga OS, AROS and MorphOS fans. Maya has way more features and a much higher price. Aladdin 4D does have some cool gas and particle creation features and renders in near realtime on Amiga Forever 2009.

Ummm, I'm pretty sure that messed up room is actually a real photograph, not a render.

You only have about six hours left to take advantage of our competitive upgrade offer from other Amiga 3D animation packages to Aladdin 4D 5.0. If you snooze you loose, don't expect this offer again.

For those with even a passing interest in 3D programs, Aladdin4D 5.0 is a great deal.  It also has one of the best printed manuals of any Amiga programs, heck, it's manual is better than just about any program I have ever bought on any platform.  Not just in the size and number of pages you get, but in the way it is written.

So, don't let this discount get away from you, or if you know another Amiga user that is a good friend of yours who is interested in 3D, Christmas is right around the corner and you could buy it for them as a gift!  :roflmao:
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)
