You misery..........
Well for tomorrow......
Hi all, I just made a PCB board that when fitted over the CPU it makes the 1200 run at 84Mhz.
The board consists of 4 chips one is a motorola C5666KAE-L (new design)
This does two things firstly it makes the Amiga CPU triple rate cycles. and both the give 84Mhz.
Secondly it uses a SAM super accelerated mode. By a software switch on the keyboard be pressing Left Alt and the F8 key.
What does it do? well it over rides the graphics and gives a changeable output mode in other words you can choose from 15Khz up to 90 Khz.
The board will cost approx £60.00.
And fitting instructions are of course given, the PCB itself is 2.2" by 3.00"
And fits neatly over the CPU.
It can go with any Amiga accelerator and say for example the accelerator is 50Mhx then you can triple that to 300Mhz
If 14 Mhz then you get of course 84Mhz
The main motorola CPU is very cool and uses 1.3 volts. no heatsink needed.
I have another board being made that will give 32 meg of Chip ram on any Amiga.
The board itself is very easy to make and install.
The first will go on full production on the 01/04/2008
I have 9 in stock so far.
Mike.
