Thats is very scary.   Not sure I would ever want to go through an airport with one of those.
 
Especially in the uk, if you were running through an airport likely thyis thing would be programmed by the police to shoot you in the face

Great - more frivolous IT patents on the way. There's nothing new or original about this concept, it's been around for decades. It even says right in the article:

"somewhat reminiscent of the automated “enforcement droid” in the 1990 movie RoboCop 2."

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to patent this new idea I have for something called "money"...

These must be commercial versions of the automated guns they've already developed (and which have been deployed) along the N. & S. Korean border.  Very scary.  Can kill you from 3km away, apparently.
