Oh yes. Backed that one for sure. I truly miss the old big box RPGs of the 80's with the manuals and maps.
-
Since it hit over 25% funded on it's first day I've asked the developer for an Amiga version as a stretch goal:hammer:

Open source implementation of the Bard's Tale Construction Set, plus a lot of enhancements. I do the graphics for it. It supports 320x200 and 640x400, but I'm in the process of supporting 1920x1200 as well. Works on Linux and Windows platform, but games that are created with it that follow the BTCS format explicitly, will work on the Amiga version, without additional enhancements. Tried to find a developer for an Amiga fork, to no avail. It's fairly robust already. I've been involved with the project since 2009.

Very nice! (both projects)

The Kickstarter for Unknown Realm is up to 69.8%. That last 30% is the big hurdle.

I looked into doing a port of btbuilder a while back, but it requires boost.
-
At the rate the Kickstarter is going, it looks as if Unknown Realm will be fully funded by New Year's Eve!

Boost should be a cross-platform C++ library you can include... Is there something with Amiga compilers' (Lattice? SAS?) language specification which keeps them from being able to be included?

The Kickstarter is now 100% funded!
Happy New Year!

yup no surprise at all coming from a die hard C64 & Ultima fan if course :hammer:

With a little more than 24 hours to go, the Kickstarter campaign for Unknown Realm is now at 168% of its goal. Various stretch goals have been reached, the last one being that all pledgers who have put in over $19 will receive the R.J. Mical parody game that was demonstrated last year. The next stretch goal is $4,692 away, that being an Underwater City Level. For a complete list of the stretch goals, see

Damn, I would have backed this had I known about it. though I would need to get a C64... or C128, never owned one. i would need to get something like the SIO2SD thing that I have for Atari 8bits. Virtual floppy drives are the only way to make them feasible these days...
New Bard's Tale construction set is also epic. I remember a game I bought called The Devil's Whiskey that was supposed to be a throwback to that. but it required some really old python and I couldn't seem to get it to work right. I should try again.

Devil's Whiskey is a really good game. You may need one of the patches that came out, after it's release. Dulsi, the coder for BTBuilder, was one of the coders for Devil's Whiskey.:)

Thanks for the info, I will see if I can locate my disk and give the game a play finally!
