"Babylon5"
« on: March 11, 2008, 05:07:32 PM »
I happened to glance at my task list today and there's a processing running (priority 6) called Babylon5 that I don't recall seeing before. Anyone know what it is?

Thanks.

I think it may be something to do with Poseidon.

I thought so, too, but with Poseidon off and the Algor disabled it's still there,,,

BUMP

I've determined it's something that gets started with Workbench (IE, not during the startup-sequence or user-startup), even with WBStartup disabled.

I have it too....

os3.9 bb1 + bb2
A1200 BPPC/060 WarpOS, Warp3d, Mediator.

Present from boot.
On removing it, WarpDemo gearsPPC no longer runs but WarpDemo gears68k does....

Another Warp process is Defiant; the guys were Babylon5 fans IIRC.

Thanks for the detective work, everyone. Looks like it's WarpOS - found the patterns in PowerPC.library. Guess I hadn't seen a running task list since I switched from a MKIII to a PPC late last year - I was a little worried it was an virus since I had been checking some very old disks a few days ago.

Once again, thanks.
