Does Cloanto still support old versions of Amiga Forever?
« on: October 30, 2010, 06:09:42 PM »
I have Amiga Forever 2009 edition.
The new version is Amiga Forever 2010.

Lately, when scanning for automatic updates for my version of Amiga Forever (with Cloanto's Software Director updater package that comes with Amiga Forever) I don't get anymore free updates, only an offer to download the "upgrade" Amiga Forever 2010 (at a cost).

I also noticed that the new version of UAE has been out over a month now (version 2.3.0) and this free update hasn't been offered to Amiga Forever 2009 owners...whereas in the past the Software Director always incorporated UAE updates into Amiga Forever 2009 a few weeks after the official UAE team released an update.

So....just wondering if anyone knows if Cloanto still supports free updates to the older versions of AF?  I did write them at their corporate e-mail address, but the last time I did so I never received a reply, so I thought that I'd just post the same question here in case anyone knows the answer.

If Cloanto isn't going to support old versions, I might just switch over entirely to WinUAE and uninstall Amiga Forever (I never use the automatic AF "Player" software anyway).

Thanks.
