How to use IPF disk images in E-UAE for Mac OS ?
« on: April 27, 2009, 08:14:31 PM »
Hello,

Can somebody show me non-expert user how to make the Mac OS X version of the E-UAE emulator handle IPF disk images ?  When I mount one as DF0:, all E-UAE does is read the disk then after a while return to the insert disk prompt as if the disk was not bootable.  The computer is an Intel Mac Mini with Max OS X Tiger 10.4.11 and the latest versions of E-UAE and Hi-Toro, which seem to work normally in other respects.

Here is what I have tried.  I downloaded the Mac OS X "User Distribution" from http://www.softpres.org/download, and copied the CAPSimage.framework folder to the Library/Frameworks folder as written in the Readme.txt file.  As it didn't work, I copied the same folder to Applications/E-UAE/Contents/Framework instead.  As it still didn't work I searched Internet and found this : http://www.simplyamiga.com/blog.  But as I'm not an expert user I don't know what to do with these informations.  I downloaded the "pre-built" binary from this page and substituted it for the original E-UAE binary, without avail, as then E-UAE doesn't work at all (this binary is much smaller than the original anyway).  I made sure to reboot the computer.

What should I do instead ?

Thank you for any advice !
