Nightlong PPC

I've recently noticed that Clickboom are now allowing download of updates for their games, here. The links are dead, though. :-(

What I'm interested in is the Nightlong PPC v1.2 update. I did buy the PPC module originally, but I only have v1.1 version, which doesn't work on my new graphics card.

Does anyone have this update file and willing to send it or know where I can download it from? Thanks.

Thanks, but I can't get into the sfiles. I forgot my password ages ago and the email address I used now doesn't exist.

Edit: I did manage to find my old #boom and password from my archives...but sfiles seems to have gone.

And the PPC version wasn't in the sfiles the last time anyway.

Nope, clickboom's site has been totally changed and the sfiles are gone.

Hi Kenny,

I'm in kind of the same situation as you are, only mine is (I think) a little worse. I forgot my boom password and the email adress I registered it with has gone. Now even the portal is gone and clickboom don't answer my emails anymore.
The problem I have is that my CDs are faulty. I can only play the game until halfway CD 1 and then I get read errors and the game freezes. Clickboom recognised the problem existed and said it was the fault of the CD mastering company and that anyone who had faulty CDs would get replacements, if only we kept quiet about it. This of course never happened. I really tried everything to get the CDs working, I made tens of copies in various ways (exact clones, copying the files in amiga filesystem, copying them with PC, under Linux) but none worked.
My question is if it would be illegal to ask someone with a working version to make copies of the disks and send them to me (preferably someone who lives close). I can prove I paid for the game as I have the registration card with my serial number, the Nightlong 3CD box and I might even have my invoice somewhere.

In answer to your question: it is *not* illegal to download software you own, and have bought and paid for. There is nothing in the legal bindings you agree to when you buy the game that says you can't, to my knowledge. So if you have someone who can copy it for you, go for it.

I have the same problem with Nightlong, since I have the defective mastering too. Only my PC 8x drive reads the cd properly. So instead of playing the game from CD, I installed it (via Samba), and copied all the files to that dir, and assigned Q: to it. It would also work if I copied across all the files from the CD and burned them on a fresh CD.

I can only hope this game is released into the public domain some time like Genetic Species was, and then everyone who couldn't play it properly can get to finish it.

ok , email me and i will send the updates ... i downloaded em a few months back just to make sure i had em...since clickboom froze the "666" project...and i was right... the site is falling apart (if not the whole company)

If I'm not mistaken, the files are available for download at Clickbooms own site.

2) use the Game Studio link
3) In the top right corner there's a link ('download') where you can find the files you're looking for (I believe).

framiga:them files is the orginal ppc floppy release, or maybe its just me because i have a new'r nightlong ppc (bought 1 year ago).

i have the 1.1 printed cds.

kennyr: sorry about that , anyway the file framiga has there is identical to the ones on my ppc floppy.
