It sounds like you get a blank pcb and a shopping list. I'm not sure I have the skillz

No, you should have received an email with confirmation. At least I did. Maybe you spelled the email wrongly? Or the answer is in your spam folder? :)

They sent me a response as soon as I filled out the form.

This could be a sales blockbuster if it came fully assembled, even without the Amiga specific parts.

Yeah, Amiga chips are easy for me to get. That surface mount network card, forget it.

I finished my AmyITX from the first batch of 25. Check it out on my last post on my web site at http://www.acill.com if you want to see how they look when complete.
-
That's Awesome! I am on the list for the next batch with all the options :D Good Job!
-
Finally I could pre order :) It's such an amazing board.
Do you know of someone that could assemble them by order?

I am very interested to learn that as well.

I'd normally say I would do it, but I just dont have the time to do any builds right now. As far as here in the USA I am not sure of anyone other than me doing this sort of this at a fair rate, but I do know a few in Europe and maybe one or two in Canada.
-
if it was prebuilt then definitely :)

Sorry just a clone drone. Is it a real amiga?
-
Well it behaves like an A500+ , it got the Amiga chipset.. so. yes?
-
I can build then for Canadians but due to shipping and duty charges I prefer to leave US Customers to my friend Acill. I'll figure out a build cost once I get my board and build it. Shouldn't be too expensive.

I'm sure with a bit of practice the through hole components shouldn't be too difficult but I think I'd need someone else to do the SMT work.
-
Finally got my boards and custom Amiga chips. But cannot find any diagrams and shoplist for SMD/sockets. Can anyone help ?

I look at it as more of a mini-A2000, its got expansion slots after all.
Then again, it doesn't have a cpu slot, and no, for me Vampire doesn't resolve that.
I can't get away from the feeling that using an FPGA as a processor is somehow cheating.
Even on the latest 6809 based project I've got on my workbench, which uses two FPGAs, the processor is still a 40 pin 6808 or 6309 (or possible a 44 pin 6309), which limits the system to a max of 2-3 MHz (4 if overclocked).
An FPGA with a cycle accurate 6809 core would provide 25 MHz (faster still if the code providing cycle accurate operation is stripped).
But its not "the real article" guys. And once you've gone that far, why not just emulate it with an X64 system?
