success to some point!

I removed EVERYTHING.
re-sitted the csppc but I did not bolted it in. (I use those nylon threaded spacers.
I only put the g-rex and the videoslot scandoubler and did not secure the busboard with the top metal part.
and I booted successfuly, with wos5,1 installed and the warpDT datatypes!
no crash or anything! it worked fine.

I have the threaded spacers between the mobo/csppc 17,5mm. that is the correct length right?

So it is a contact problem.
I have my ppc bolted down with metal spacers and smaal screws.
Just some fiberrings between the ppc and the spacers and it is rocksolid.
Also make sure you clean the contacts off the mobo with some alcohol or good contact spray.
Can't tell length it is all inside the tower.
There was some foto in the gallery I believe.

I cannot believe it! after ALL these, the PSU was to blame!!!!
I used a mATX 300W PSU with an amigakit.com converter!
it turns out that PSU is total crap, because it cannot deliver enough watts for either 5v or 3.3v , dunno which...
I tested with the normal 140W A4000 PSU and _EVERYTHING_ works perfect!
so, remember, always use High Quality PSU's , and when u start getting sound/aga probs, check the PSU first...

I find it amazing how many problems are caused by a powersupply. Sometimes it's also hard to trace.  :getmad:
