Linux Embedded Apps On Efika PowerPC
« on: May 22, 2007, 03:17:02 PM »
I have Embedded Linux application project using fanless VIA Eden x86 CPU (600 MHz) with Mini-ITX boards. The application can be ported to PowerPC and I plan to use Efika:

1. Is Efika + Linux PowerPC comparable/faster than x86 at 600 MHz?
2.  Does Efika need fan?
3. What is the power supply rating for Efika? Is it ATX or DC +12V?
4. Does Efika support svgalib?

I read that Efika +Ubuntu will choke on multimedia.
What about Efika + text mode Linux (without X-Windows)?

Thank you.

1. Not sure, I doubt it.
2. No fan and no heatsink at all.
3. It has a standard ATX connector.
4. No idea.
