A1200 resistor mod?

Hi,
I have an Amiga 1200 with a 3.5" hard drive installed. I recently opened the case and cut away some metal shielding to have some more room for the hard drive. But I noticed something on the motherboard. There's a resistor of 470 ohm soldered between pin 14 of XU33 and another big IC. Is this some kind of mod (which one?), or is this resistor placed by default in the factory? I'm asking this pure out of curiosity :-)
There's a picture of it at

Thanks in advance,
Thomas.

It`s part of the timing fixes for the rev 2B motherboard.
AFAIK, it was never fixed on the production line.
