Arrow keys not working in WHDLOAD
« on: March 14, 2015, 06:55:01 PM »
Hi everyone. I am trying to enjoy my amiga with some bards tale 2 play, however my arrow keys on the keyboard doesn't work. As far as I know, they work everywhere else, but not in whdload. I tried reinstalling whdload, the game, I have registered version, still not working. Anyone?

On a real Amiga or WinUAE? If a real Amiga what type, are you using a USB keyboard?

So many questions, not enough info :-)

Sorry, on a sam440ep with USB keyboard (2 different keyboards). Running the same game on whdload on my 1200 works fine.

Sounds like the keyboard input isn't being captured by the emulation. I can't remember the idiosyncrasies of E-UAE's behavior, but try clicking into the emulation window first? There may be a way to force capture of the keyboard through the config as well.

As WHDLoad does not run on OS4, you probably talk about RunInUAE. In WinUAE by default the cursor keys emulate a joystick. It could be the default for RunInUAE, too. So you probably have to change the UAE config to get the cursor keys to be cursor keys.

Ah, will look at this. I still use my whdload key though?

Ah, I found the solution here.
