New Maps and Characters for Gloom Deluxe
« on: November 16, 2014, 07:45:21 PM »
Just a heads-up this evening, as I discovered that a pack with brand new  maps and characters had been released for the Doom-clone Gloom Deluxe!  Very cool! Looking forward to try it out on my A1200.

More info here: http://oldschoolgameblog.com/2014/11/15/new-maps-and-characters-for-gloom-deluxe-amiga/

The pack is on Aminet and was uploaded a few days ago.

It's been years since I've played this.  Idle curiosity, how well does it work with a graphics card?

Technically, the Poly-Object support in Odamex should in theory make that possible, though it's not a task I'm ready to tackle and besides I'm not sure how well ZDOOM or Odamex running on Amiga would handle with moving Poly-Objects in the map.
Earth has a lot of things other folks might want... like the whole planet. And maybe these folks would like a few changes made, like more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and room for their way of life. - William S. Burroughs

After your awesome work with Alien Breed 3D/Odamex it's understandable that you are not up for another huge task ;)

Tho if I get inspiered enough I might give it a go, have a few more important projects to do first tho so only time will tell :)
