Retargetable games
« on: January 08, 2003, 10:10:51 AM »
What games on the Amiga are fully retargetable so I can run them on AmigaXL, also is there a free version of Quake that runs on 68k?

 Thankx, I need games! :)

Frank Wille's Quake ports

Also:

Payback
Tales from Heaven
Descent
Descent: Freespace
Doom
Doom II
Quake 2 (apparently, you can get an update with a 68k version)

And i'm NOT SURE, but i think these ones are, too:
Foundation Gold
Shadow of the Third Moon
Playstation Network ID: xeron6

Alien Breed works great aside of a few pops in sound.

 As for Quake...

...PERFECT, thankx for the link, I'll be busy in AmigaXL playing all those TC's for Quake that I never got around to. :)

I don't know if "retarget" means exactly the same as "mode promotion" (at least under AmigaXL), anyway you should take a look at this guide available on Aminet:

bmpgl.lha
docs/lists
6K
280
List of Games you are able to ModePromote

(and I would add Case of the Cautious Condor too the list).
