for an A1200 with this config. but don't go multiplayer/online it will get pretty slow on ya if there are a lot of players in a level (more then 10) 640*480*16 was to hard on the Old permedia 2 with Q2.

Hmm, probably because the PPC board's PCI interface is clocked at 25MHz instead of 33, and doesn't support burst cycles (not that I'm aware of at least). Anyway, you might also try 480x360. I rather liked that resolution on low-end video cards with games.

 I'm not familiar with fileplanet at all, but the link doesn't work. It says "The Request File not Found"

It worked for me on my A4000/CSPPC/Prometheus/Voodoo3 - I just tried it after I had full Q2 installed.

@trgse

So is it the version from Frank Menzel or a different one?
Still waiting that it's getting approved...

@all:

(I'm one of the Aminet admins)

First of all: When uploading to Aminet, you are required to specify a proper, machine readable email address at the "Uploader:" field - we need to have the option to get in contact with an uploader, especially in cases like this one. If we wouldn't have stumbled across this thread by accident, you guys would be left wondering what's up with the lazy idiots at Aminet.

About the uploads:

We're talking about GPL software here. The version uploaded by nasty is an early beta that is not exactly suitable for end users - and I doubt anybody still has the sources for this version. There are various issues with trgse's upload that need to be investigated before we can even think about hosting it.

In other words: This will take a few days. And please keep in mind that the Aminet team reserves the right to delete any uploads that we deem unfit.

Upps,

I am still wondering which version he finally tried to upload. If it was the version Menzel, "an early beta" like cutjahr said, I don't see too much reason for putting it on Aminet again since it is old and available from other sources.

If it's a new version, I would be very happy if it will make it to Aminet (after approval).
