A4000 repair in USA?
« on: June 16, 2008, 03:11:46 PM »
Hi,

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I was wondering if anybody had any experience with services available in the USA for A4000 motherboard / A3640 repair.  I am fortunate enough  :-D to have a A4000 with leaky audio capacitors and mobo damage, as well as an A3640 with the reversed capacitors.  I'm thinking about getting them serviced sometime in the next 6 months.

I have read that a Tom Jeffries in Mission, KS will do this work.  Anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks,
Tim

Well send it wherever you want but avoid to send it to the repair center that is advertized here http://retrogeekcomputers.com/ .

Don't know if he is from america but he is the well known "doomy".

You send your hardware and you never get it back.He has been doing this for a long time.

Best regards

PS. I'm going to be fixing Kristian's A4000T as well (and some Macs and A1200s/A600s while I'm at it as well): http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=36331
