Title: converting files
Post by: wizard on August 17, 2014, 08:46:04 PM
I have a number of files created using Prowrite and Procalc on my Amiga 4000.  I would like to transfer these files to my laptop, which runs windoze 7.  Is there some program which will allow me to create a cd formatted for the pc on my Amiga, or a program which will allow my pc to read Amiga formatted disks?

Yes, MakeCd from Aminet: http://aminet.net/package/disk/cdrom/MakeCD. This will burn CDs that can be read on the peecee.

Once you get the files to your PC, however, it's unlikely that there's a PC program that can make sense of them (unless you're planning to use ProCalc and ProWrite under WinUAE).

Questions? Didn't procalc have a save feature of files in 123 format?

Don't remember prowrite...but maybe it had rich text type save?
