Hi i own a 1230 50 mhz amiga with ide fix and adapter and 16 bit soundcard. What is the maximum memory my 1230 card would take as i have some old 32mb simms and if i could use them it would be cool.I don,t want to suck it and see in case i,m wrong. Also what is the maximum hd you can use and can it use cdrw or dvdrw. :-D

Most 1230 cards will allow for at least 32mb, some are picky with FPM/EDO RAM but there's no harm in trying.

Maximum supported with native OS3.1 is 4GB, with 3.9/BB2 or other filesystems you should at least be able to go to 127GB. :)

CD/CDRW can be used, for DVD you'll probably need a different IDE controller and even then software is virtually none existing.
