The manual will help you.

Ok well I have checked out the book , now I feel that the 4.1 software might not be for me.

It looks like 4.1 is more for toaster flyer. I just have the toaster 4K ,
and this brings me to the new question. should I format and re-install toaster 3.1 If i plan to be in a live setting ?

or is there a easy way to have the transition effect eg. anything other than default cut on the T bar ?

4.1 feels very back production. not a live setting.
thanks again for link to the 4.1 book

The Toaster 4.3 software can install both the 3.1 and 4.2 Toaster software. The 4.x series has better versions of Toaster Paint and Lightwave. 3.X is better for live video switching. The 4.3 software can be downloaded from the EAB ftp site. You have to search for both the CD image and the ADF of the install floppy. There are some long threads on EAB on Toaster software.
A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.
