Nice look but has a few drawbacks:
-  if you do not want to use a floppy drive you will have an hole in your case. :-o
- you can only hide one of your beige devices, the other ones will give an horrible look to the tower :-?
- It is huge for a micro atx mobo which can handle only 3 PCI. All the space below the 3rd PCI slot is useless  (4 slots space empty)  :-(

@iamaboringperson

Yes AOpen have some real good cases, my Peggy sits in this.

Nice paintjob window and so on voila a real cool high-quality allmost
silent case.

And no that is surely NOT German :-o
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

actually cdfr is right... dummy!! :-D

@CDFR

their empty but still useful ... you might want to use that Firewire on a backplate or more USB on a backplate/etc etc...

My latest Asus board has 3 plate's but they dont come from cards they come from onboard amenities... I'm sure pegasos could use some of the generic plates they have for useing some of its onboard amenities..

Hey, that's the same case I'm getting for my AmigaOne. I might go for the blue metallic variant, though. I read a review of it some time back, where it got 5 out of 6.

Apparently it's a very good case, although I think you'd be better off with an AmigaOne inside it. ;-)

When I get mine, I want a case that when opened doesn't make the Pegasos mainboard look like a bitty crumpet at the bottom of a 10-gallon tin ;  }

Im sure you may all have seen this one, but its worth another mention. www.frozencase.com

I am thinking of making the same sort of design but smaller, in which case I would need the smaller pegasos board (as opposed to eyetech-one) I will just have to wait till it runs os4, or until os5 comes out on amd/intel 64-bit chips and get me a micro atx board ;-) dreamin' i know...

I plan on building another machine into a sony subwoofer box which i already have one of (subbie picture) and still it on the opposite side of the TV so i can have some symmetry!

Hi teotwin...that is an interesting design (frozencase).  We have also looked at the SpaceWalker (real name believe it or not).  Whatever the final decision is we do need to find something unique that brands the Pegasos (no wild west pun intended) in a certain frame of reference (as Apple did with the iBook).  At the same time, the Pegasos can be used for different things, so a frozencase might be good for a developers machine but we need something different for a product like the Psylent.

Thanks for the ideas!  We appreciate the suggestions.

Sincerely,

R&B :-)

BBRV I like the Psylent case... I think it looks nice... I looked into getting a little case for my peggy.... I dunno... I kept thinking 'what if I want to expand it'... but it definitly would make an impression... these days with everything bieng smaller and smaller.

I came across a metallic green one of these guys the other day and thought it'd be a really cool little PPC machine.

More pictures

As far as I know the Quiz is just sold as a complete x86 Socket 370 computer, but since the company making it is mainly a barebones cases outfit, maybe they'll be selling the case by itself.
