I wonder, how well SCSI cards in Mediator could perform...

Squirrel, there wouldn't be much reason to bother :-)
(Well, that would still enable connection of SCSI scanners etc.)
Haven't bought Mediator myself, and most likely never will...
If you ask me, Elbox has really bad attitude problems,
and that sure affects usability of their hardware...
Only drivers for 68k processors (no MOS support, for example),
no OpenPCI etc...
But I guess, the hardware is okay... Or at least as okay, as something
tha plugs into ageing A1200 can be...

You forgot to mention possibility of buying "standard" cheap IDE drive
and connecting it with SCSIDE-adapter... That's how many do it
nowadays...
