I just spent well over an hour chewing Stan Sova's ear off.
I have always admired people who pull no punches and are straight forward when they speak their piece.
Stan is that kind of guy.

Most of you would know Stan as 'Smerf'.
He was nice enough to drive down from PA and drop off a CD32 he's letting me have at an obscenely good price (and he threw in an SX1).

Stan's moving to the Philippines in about a week, and I thought it would be a good occasion to thank him for his presence on this site and to reflect on all the people we no longer see here.

So, anyone care to comment?

BTW - After some recent health scares the man is looking pretty good.

Great post!  Always enjoy meeting fellow Amiga users (and hearing stories about others meeting them), even if we can get kind of testy with each other on this site.  ;)

I've seen his comments about health issues recently, was scared when I saw the title of this post... thought it was going to be bad news!

Cheers Iggy. Smerf and many others previously on this site provided passion and support for many Amigians.  I rarely come on these days but one thing AOrg has taught me that Ill never forget is inclusion is worth more than compliance. Good to see Smerf moving closer to the top of the world. Take care and see u online....

That's cool of him although its a shame the CD32 didn't get to return to it's home country.

Maybe, but now I get to explore the CD titles available for it.
And with the SX1 it makes an interesting system.

BTW - Not only did he include the SX1, bit also an external floppy drive (with a 3.1 boot disk), and game controller, and what looks to be over 12 CD32 titles.

Thanks again Smerf.
