Title: Akward problem with Amiga Emulation.
Post by: 77slevin on February 04, 2017, 12:58:13 PM
Hi,

Most emulation programs use F12 to get back into the configuration screen. I'm playing around with Amibian (https://gunkrist79.wixsite.com/amibian), which uses UAE4Arm as emulator, on a Raspberry Pi 3 build into a Amiga 500 case. The Amiga 500 keyboard only goes up to F10, as most of you will know. How do I get back into the config screen without a dedicated F12 button? I don't want to add a PC keyboard to the mix just to be able to F12.

Any one in the same situation with a solution?

I  have been looking around and found the solution myself: in the Amibian  configuration screen under Input, I have the option to change F12 to  F11, left control or left alt.

Maybe this info is useful for someone else. Screenshot :lol:

And how does it help you to re-map F12 to F11, given that Amiga keyboards only go up as far as F10?
:confused:

@Dandy
Had to take a look at the picture and read it again to get it. The Menu key can be changed from F12 to F11, Left Ctrl or Left Alt... it doesn't change the key layout just what key activates the menu. Seeing that the Amiga doesn't have the Right Ctrl I guess the only option is Left Alt unless you actually go in and change the keyboard layout of the underlying OS. Played around with SharpKeys (for Windows) myself for a simular thing, don't know what you'll need though.
