AF 5.3 recover a deleted file How?

Deleted some arexx scripts from Work: on the AF 5.3 emulation .. Tried Quarteback Tools but got an error "cant find device".........
Does the file have to be recovered on the windows side..and by what utility?

It depends. If you use hardfiles, then QBTools or DiskSalv should do the trick. If you use harddirs, you must recover it on the Windows side. Look into WinUAE configuration to find out. IIRC AF uses harddirs by default.

Don't know what to use to recover files from a Windows hdd.

If the scripts are small (<64k) then there's a PC file restorer called "Restorer 2000" which you can use for free - that might do the job.
