Access to USB drives from AmiKit
« on: February 04, 2007, 01:17:57 AM »
Hi there,
I'm trying to figure out how to make my USB key or drive visible in AmiKit after I boot my 'Amiga'?
Thanks.

Hi,

Have you tried the 'Add PC drives at startup' option in
the harddrives section ?

Hi MozzerFan,
Where can I access this harddrives tool section?
Currently, AmiKit finds automatically both of my NTFS partitions on the indernal HD.
Once I'm in the WB, I plug my 8GB drive into USB port but it does not appear to be recognised, unlike when I insert CD-ROM.
How to make it autodetect, or how can I manually do that?

I think you have to plugin the drive before you start up
AmiKit. You can find the harddrives section, when you
enter the Configure AmiKit menu after startup of AmiKit.
Though it sounds as if the option is already ticked,
because your harddrives are automatically added at startup.

Correct. The USB key needs to be plugged into computer BEFORE you start the emulation. It cannot be inserted or removed "on the fly", unfortunately.
