Mark R. Brown passed away RIP

First, I apologize if this has been posted before. I was not aware of it. A good friend and colleague of mine is doing a project about old computers and was looking for permission to use some of Mark R. Browns articles (from Info 64/Info/.Info magazine) in his paper. He was Googling him to track down an email and found this:

He asked me if I thought it was the same person which I'm sure it is given the location and I know his wife Carol passed away suddenly in 2004. He wrote on his website and on Kim Lemon's site about Carol's sudden passing. I had no idea he passed away especially in 2015.

Second, I'm sorry to post another RIP article in one week.

I really, really enjoyed the Info 64/Info/.Info magazines. I thought they had great 64/128/Amiga articles, excellent reviews, great humor, and I loved their rumors column. Plus, it was all created on Commodore hardware. I was sadden when they folded in 1992.

Aw, I didn't know.    Mark was a very active member on the now-defunct Commodore128.org forum.  He had such insight, especially since he came from the publishing world.  In fact, I sold him a NIB Commodore 128 motherboard during that time.  But then, all of a sudden, he dropped off the forum.  This was several years ago when the forum was still going.

The news of Mark's passing is another surprise for me.  I recently found out that K. Dale Sidebottom, president of the LUCKY (Louisville Users of Commodore Kentucky) and big-time GEOS user, had passed away in 2015, too.  Dale was the organizer of the annual LUCKY Expo and came to the very first CommVEx back in 2005.  I suppose he came to wish us well with our show.  I appreciated his enthusiasm and kindness.

To both men, rest in peace.

He was pretty active on Kim Lemon's site as well and then dropped off too. He had posted that he was selling his vast Commodore computer collection because of medical bills and then there was nothing after that.

Mark Brown and Benn Dunnington set a real benchmark with .info Magazine. I'll miss Mark. Can't believe I'm just hearing about this.
