Hi can you tell me where I can get a copy of the software to get WB3.1 for a A1200 which has WB3.0 Roms. Thanks hugh

Avast! The seven seas are the other way!
-
It won't work with rom 3.0 anyway unless you softboot (taking away your vital resources).

WB 3.1 works with KS 3.0 ROMS quite nicely.

Buy disks and ROMs from your preferred dealer or buy Amiga Forever.

Google is your friend... :-)

It sure does.

It sure does, it's only 3.5 or 3.9 where you'd run into trouble.

this is not 100% correct:-) If you own an Amiga 4000 equiped with an Commodore A3640 Board you can "softkick" an Rom3.1-file into your RAM and run OS 3.9 without any problem on an Amiga with 3.0 ROMs:-)

I call that trouble. I've softbooted 3.0 1200s with cheap '030 accelerators to run 3.9, sure it works, it's just not as nice as having real 3.1 ROMs.

BUY a legal set of ROMs and legal copy of Amiga OS 3.1 from any seller of your choice.
No one can claim to be a supporter of any platform if all they do is steal software to run on old hardware.
Every pirated copy being used is a little money that SHOULD have gone to the copyright owners and resellers to encourage them to stay in the business of improving Amigas.
Pirates steal from all of us.

Isn't he or she entitled to download the Workbench 3.0 software suite for free being as though the machine came with it originally and the software has already been payed for or licensed in the purchase price of the machine when first purchased? Isn't 3.0 unavailable now and hence users have no choice if they want 3.0 with their original Commodore A1200?
