Hi there Amiga/Sega fans!
Here's a cool tip for Sonic 1 on the Master System, this trick is fun
on AmiMasterGear and works at full speed on '030!
Just thought I'd share something with you that not many Master System
owners know about, if any!
Okay, load up AmiMasterGear and slap in Sonic1.sms, everyone who has
AmiMasterGear must have Sonic right!?
Now jump along and before you reach the really large hill with the
invincibility TV on, collect 12 rings. Now run up the hill and jump on
the TV.
Run like hell to the edge and roll as fast as you can down the hill
and when you reach the flick at the bottom press and hold diagonal
up-right.
Keep it held down all the way!
This bit is better than the Mario 3 cheat for getting to the
warp pipes!
Hold it down and you will fly off the edge of the screen, the level
will scroll by at warp speed and within seconds you will arrive at the
finishing post. If you have collected the 12 rings as mentioned the
post will change to a Sonic logo and you will gain a life.
You will have completed the level so fast that you will still have the
invincibility and the music will swap quickly from that to level, and
then level music to scoreboard music.
It'll be the nuttiest thing you'll ever see in a platform game!

Oh and before I forget use the following options for best emulation:
* GFX refresh = auto
* SPR refresh = auto
* Speed = real
* Screen = NTSC
* Black border = Tick
* No illogical moves = Tick
* Show fps = Tick (!)
* Video emulation ->
Sprite priorities = Tick
Background priorities = Tick
Realtime scroll refresh = Tick
Realtime palette refresh = Tick
