Title: His name is really Karlos
Post by: Kesa on December 01, 2010, 10:39:21 AM
Today as i was innocently posting threads on Amiga.org i was violated by a moderator named Karlos. He revealed my true identity to my fellow Amigans therefore robbing me of some of my special powers.

This is hardly the professionalism you would expect from a secret agent working for Gumbycorp.

So to repay the favour i'm going to reveal Karlos' real name. His name is.....

.....Karl.

It took some effort but i finally found it at babysnames.com

Hi!

The administrators of Amiga.org have gone to some trouble to create a nice system for organizing posts.  The title of this forum is Amiga General Chat, which "is for conversations which are specifically "Amiga" related, but don't fit into other categories."  Non-Amiga related general banter is better posted in one of the Coffeehouse forums, here's a link to one of those: http://amiga.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=26

Remember, the organizational system works best if you pay attention to where you're posting!

@Kesa

Strictly speaking, I didn't give it away, you did. Your post was left with your name in it for ample time for all and sundry to read it before I posted. There'd been about 20 views before I even commented.

Cat was out of the bag, mate. There's no stuffing it back in now. Though I have removed the leak since you fixed your post ;)

As for the snow, that picture looks quite nice. Probably nicer when Im looking at in on a computer screen in a tshirt and shorts though  ;)

Seriously though, Ive pretty much never seen snow. Once when I was about 10 it snowed enough to make a half snow half mud ball. Thought it was quite exciting  :)

BTW, I just wanted to throw in that I am really damn jealous over the snow.  I have not seen "real" snow in phuqn years and it has started to take a toll on me.  Hopefully my trip over New Years to the mid-west will resolve this issue.

You know, I wish someone would cobble together a fake website announcing some amazing new piece of hardware or software soon to be released for the Amiga (a bit like Amiga Inc & Gateway used to do) just to give us all something new and exiting to talk about...

Actually yes, but I did make a vow not to cover that particular song due to the importance of the junk yard samples on the song... It would be heresy to try and emulate them... Perhaps a more acoustic ballad might work ;)

Already been done,.... just head over to the A-EON site and check out thier X1000. Although I guess a pretty much standard cheapo motherboard with a gimmick and a different cpu for 10-15x its value (relative to elsewhere for the same sort of specs) doesnt really count as amazing  ;)

p.s. sorry, I couldnt refrain. I really have no interest in X1000, or bashing it. It just seemed too obvious to pass up  :)

Right... This is all getting very silly.

It's time for something completely different :python:

Hmm,

His name is Karlos,
he is a coder
,
with yellow socks in his hair, and the code cut down to there,

Done in that ole Barry Manifold Copacabana style :roflmao:

Boo!

You haven't heard my early octamed version of "Enjoy the Silence". I don't think expression "murder" does the desecration justice.

Tan Hauser Gate's one and only cover... I really enjoyed playing this one :)

Shameful cover (http://www.cutiemish.com/Jcge.mp3)

ITYM: Shameful cover (http://www.cutiemish.com/Jcge.mp3)

Nice work btw. I think I've seen this as a youtube vid in the past?

Incidentally, for someone that hates FM, there's a sound in there that's so obviously sounds FM (you can hear it in comparative isolation at 2:05 where it reappears just on top of the bass/percussion). My old PSS680 was perfect at making noises like that :D

It isn't, it's an audio track only. I was saying I have seen a video of that actual performance in the past.
