This same rule apples on Windows.
Since when was following Windows' example a good thing? There is no such limitations in macOS or any other desktop I'm using, and strangely enough, there are no problems with "unreachable controls", so I am curious on exactly how one would manage to move windows in a way so that window gadgets would really become unreachable. Anyways, I hope it will be possible to turn off this feature (IControl prefs), as my "amiga workflow" is very much accustomed to windows being limited by the screen border (and if I could request a feature, it would be to have another hotkey for grabbing and moving windows without having to use titlebar - then it would be possible to move windows in a way so that control gadgets would be unreachable.)

There is NO 68000 distro....
Well, once you add accelerator card with 020+, you can also move to a different kickstart - I have one reason, and one reason only for using CGFx (v4), and that is CVPPC. Anyways, would it not be easier to just provide a legacy kickstart image for (the few) CGFx users, than requiring everyone else to meddle with startup-sequence and double-boot and potentially waste precious chipram? Oh well, making custom kickstarts is easy enough.

Come to think of it, we could add the A3000-specific bonus code to the ROM image and include it in the A3000 download package as a "SuperKickstart ROM image" file.

Why not also include a 1.3/3.1.4 superkick adf so that the HDSetup script's ExtractKickstart will work for that authentic feeling? ;-)

Tell that to my support team who regularly field support calls from users messing up and putting their window titlebars outside of a clickable area (i.e. off the top of the screen). There are "power users" (most users in these forums) that have a clue, and then there is Joe Average who would have no idea how to deal with a window bigger than the screen. These types of UI decisions are difficult - do you annoy the power users but keep the other 99% from getting into trouble, or do you make the power users happy but end up with loads more support calls and confusion.

I deal with this type of issue all the time in my day job, "dumbing things down" is a necessary evil if you want your support staff and costs to stay sane.

Hyperion has now released a Bonus icon package created by Martin "Mason" Merz. It contains icons for many popular applications in the AmigaOS3.1.4 GlowIcon style.

Registered buyers can find it in their personal download section on the Hyperion website as a free addon.

Attached is a little preview. Thank you, Martin!

So tell them to use Windows, where the dumbing down is already done.
There is no "support staff" for Amiga and Joe Average is not Amiga user anyways.

I still have not seen any description on _how_ one can end up with control gadgets becoming unreachable if windows can be resized larger than screen size.

I stared reading about 3.1.4 and I think I like it (even if I was VERY skeptical about it initially).  I think I will get myself nice Christmas gift 2019 :), but I want boxed version :).

Is there any chance that there could be better "support/integration" of PPC boards... (what ever this means...).

Also, any chance to get OS3.9 true upgrade, to make it more up to date?

AND also we need better support of OS4.1 for classics. Like I mentioned before it is like a demo version of this system on Amiga Classic. It works... but hardware support is minimal (FastATA, PCI-USB etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.).

I like to dream :).

Dreams can come true, if you take one step at a time and enjoy each of them. ;)

For the time being, please create a file

ENVARC:MMU-Configuration

and add the following single line:

ClearTTx

This trick works great! Thanks a lot!
In the meantime, I fixed this in the mmu.library. New version will appear ASAP.

I just tested the updated mmu library and it works perfectly. No need for the ClearTTx configuration anymore. Thank you!

Is there a T-Shirt and voucher pre-order scheme for the physical copies of this OS / Roms? I guess they'll be ready "when it's done"?  Maybe the T-Shirt could have a nice "Kills 99% of known AmigaOS 3.1 bugs dead!" tag line? ;-)

It there any list of "bugs killed" in the ROM? My Amiga only needs to reset like "10x" before normal operation ;).

I have a rom burner ... now if some enterprising Amigan could create a custom 3.1.4 CD32 rom file...I just might buy the 1200 version...
I could be wrong but did the CD32 use 2 512k ROM chips?  Perhaps only the first one would need to be custom...

No, it's only one chip. As stated somewhere else, the A1200 ROM will not search for extensions ROMs for CD32, so those extra modules you would add cannot be found and therefore are of no use, sadly. One has to do a little bit more to create a CD32 ROM.

@Thread

What would give me the best improvements for my 060 RTG Miggy; Boing Bags 3 & 4 on top of Boing Bag 2 on my OS3.9 partition or incorporating the 'improvements' / bug fixes in OS 3.1.4? Should I do both? Should I be worried about instability?

Excellent questions!  ;)
I'm running straight up OS3.9 w/BB1&2.... no other patches on my A2K.
