Excited to see this release, though I wonder, is there a version for Right handed people as well? I'm used to holding the Joystick arcade style with my left hand, and using my right hand for the buttons.

The alternative version will be here in the New Year (with joystick shaft on left)

I am right handed and I prefer the configuration we have available now, tested on many games such as Turrican, Rainbow Islands and R-Type

YOU might, I'm with X on this one.
With arcade machines, I use my right hand for the buttons.
Its what threw me with the little battery operated Ms. Pacman and Galaga video games introduced a few years ago.

Why are these devices set up backwards from the way an arcade stick is set up?

How come it's not compatible with the Amiga 600 :-? :-?
How's that different to the A1200/A500?

Do you have any ETA for more X-Surf 100's?  I'm thinking I might order myself a few after-Christmas presents, LOL.  ;)

It's the placement of the mouse and joystick ports.

Most likely this joystick has a plug that doesn't fit the joystick port of the A600, and if that's the case, maybe this short cable can solve the problem: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMIGA-OR-ATARI-ST-JOYSTICK-EXTENSION-CABLE-PORT-SAVER-/320656474631?pt=UK_VideoGames_VideoGameAccessories_VideoGameAccessories_JN&hash=item4aa89d8207

I have one of those, and it allows me to use a Cocolino mouse adapter on my A600.

Or use the A600 joystick adapter made by Kipper2k in order to solve the clearance problem with the new Arcade Evolution joystick.

Very cool ! Been waiting for one for a long time ! May I ask a few questions ?

a- I'm left handed and definitely would prefer the stick on the left like regular arcade machines :-)
b- would it be possible to add a third button and use it as a jump button ? I experimented a lot with this and it makes Amiga games so much more enjoyable :-) (just a button connected to the "up" direction)
c- can you please tell us where and by whom this stick is built ?
d- is it possible to open it to change damaged microswitches ? Is it possible to know which ones are used ?

Thanks a lot, arcade sticks on the Amiga really do improve gameplay a lot :)

The joystick is Amigakit's own design with the plastic formed by a local company.

@Rob : oh, great effort indeed. Considering this, price is good. Arcade sticks are very durable.

I'm right-handed and I always used my right hand to control the stick, and left to hit the buttons.  Felt like better control that way.  Huh, you can please some of the people all the time, and all of the people some of the time, but I guess not even AmigaKit can please all of the people all the time, LOL.  For me I'm looking forward to ordering this, just as soon as I can get a couple other bits, as well.  :)
