Many thanks for the useful link gizmo... but this is the start for the well know list of popular firewalls full of suites... but i prefer user recomendations than google recomendations.

Around here we all use AVG for Virus checking, AND their firewall. I like it.

I used to. Now just use Windows vanilla for both.

Windows 7 has a firewall built in. The last few versions of Windows have. Obviously you need to turn it on, and make sure you've got all your security updates installed, but beyond that it's sufficient for basic protection. If you want to go stronger there's myriad options, we use Symantec (not the Norton home crap, but the Symantec business-line products) at my office. Also you could consider a hardware-based firewall, such as basic protection offered by routers (esp. routers upgraded with DD-WRT or other custom firmware), also SonicWall routers offer very good protection and are widely used in the business world. You could bump that up to a Juniper or a Cisco router, or even a dedicated PC on your network operating as a gateway firewall running custom software for even stronger firewall capabilities.
In short, there are too many options to list. Is there something in particular you're trying to protect against, or are you just asking for a firewall "because someone told you you needed one"?

Nobody has told me that i need one, I use firewalls from years for home use, just with the updates becomes heavy applications and i want something light.

You're not going to find anything much lighter than the stock one built into Windows. Anything else is just adding more junk, LOL.

The Windows Firewall may be the "lightest" just due to it being the most integrated program. But, I don't think there is any such thing as a "light" firewall these days?
I actually still use the Windows Firewall on my Vista machine (This is my main gaming machine).

You might wanna try ZoneAlarm Free.
What I like most about Zone Alarm, is the control you get over every single application and service who wants any kind of network communication. As soon as a program or process wants to either send or receive, either locally or over the Internet, you'll get a request from ZA about whether you approve this or wants it to deny the communication, and this decision can be remembered for the future. This makes it easy to block hidden call-home functions and other malicious stuff that can otherwise go on secretly without your knowledge, and that other SW firewalls won't warn you about. This IMHO makes ZA a perfect complement to a HW firewall/router that you of course also should have. There is a basic, free version, and there is also a "pro" version that cost money but will offer more manual configuration options (like what ports/protocalls should be allowed for what applications to what IP's etc). And there is also a "Internet Security Suite" with the ZA "pro"+ anti-virus as well. I have that and I'm happy with it.

IIRC Miami Deluxe has a firewall build in. Never cared about that in particular as I use inbuild router firewalls since ages.

External firewalls won't give you the application level control that Zone Alarm does, however. IMHO one should have both. But of course, the Amiga has the benefit of "security through obscurity" in a way that Windows hasn't...

The majority of active unaccelerated Amigas have the safest firewall.....
