Title: Amiga Masters at Work... what Amiwest looks like
Post by: amigasociety on October 26, 2014, 11:53:36 PM
Just a fun little picture I took of what it looks like at Amiwest.

Just a fun bunch of folks enjoying time with one another and jumping in to help.  This is what the real amigans do and strive for.

Thanks guys for a great great weekend!

See you next year!!!

the symbolic of this image escapes me in its full scale. i see few men alone in a dark room. i see an image of what appears to be capitol i think. maybe some catastrophic theme is being suggested, like indipendance day or the like. i see an exit highlighted behind the group. it appears to be locked. all seem to be pretty motionless as if frozen in anticipation. i see there is something they concentrate on, something we will never be able to see. reminds me of caravaggio.

The most "amigan" thing in these photos is the old Chelsea FC t-shirt of some guy, afterall usa is not a place to amiga parties or derivates.

That "some guy" happens to be the former boss of Commodore UK, Colin Proudfoot. He told some great stories from the old days of Commodore!

Pretty cool we had this surprise guest.  Enjoyed his talk and after-hours discussions over beer about the Commodore of old.

Amazing some of the cool folks we have met at Amiwest year after year.

@amigasociety

absolutely. every year is a great time -- we get people literally traveling from across the globe to come. i think what makes amiwest so special is the people, and i'm already looking forward to next year and the 30th anniversary of the amiga we all love.
