You should use both.
WHDLoad is a great piece of software to test some games before you start playing.
It is fast and easy.
But if you want to finish a game and not just play a bit use the gotek.
Many time games crash no matter the commands you give to the icon, even on A500 with ACA500 some games will crash.

Ok first step is to get work bench 3.1 installed. I purchased 3.1 Roms and a new set of WB disks from ami kit a while back. Unfortunately the second disk always gives an error during the install.

Is it possible to get them in adf- legally so I can use the gotek to get bloody work bench installed :-)

HxC USB hooked RPi Zero in external box, controlled through serial port of Amiga or over IP, however you prefer.

Just buy AmigaForever from Cloanto, there is a download option available cheaply, it comes with all CBM classic Amiga OS releases, ADFs and kickstart images.

Get a 8GB or 16GB CF Card and a PCMCIA reader and you will be happy you did!  You can format it Fat32 and copy all the WHDload games and Demos to it and you will be all set!  (Fat95 and CompactFlash.device drivers from Aminet)

Tried it.. For games it's a non starter for me. They just don't look or feel the same. I think most of that is the LCD screens. CRT seems to be the go.
