Happy New Year from AmiKit ;)
« on: December 28, 2006, 02:59:01 PM »
AmiKit is here for more than a year and I have to say that I really enjoyed every moment working on this project. I met a lot of new people and made a lot of new friends. I'd like to thank to all of you who devoted your time, energy and effort into AmiKit! It would not have been what it is without your help.

AmiKit is now used by more than 600 people on regular basis (according to number of downloads of the live updates) and I'd like to thank to all of them for their feedback, support, bugreports ...and using the AmiKit of course! It is you, the AmiKit users, who keep my enthusiasm up!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Well then! Although I don't quit understand why this whole thread wasn't deleted, I am sure of one thing. AmiKit is obviously a very passionate subject in the AO community. After realizing what AmiKit was this morning, I did quickly discover that a lot of people have been involved in it's creation. And being the person that I am, I'm very exiceted to have a reason to want to buy Amiga Forever. I am not any type of authority on the subject of the Amiga computer but I do know that I want to try to be! I could start another storm in a teacup about OS4, PPC accelerators, MorphOS, Aros, etc... but I digress. I just want something to play with. So, cheers and Happy New Year!

Well,  don't know anything about what's going on here, and have no affiliance whatsoever on this matter, but one thing did raise my interest when I was reading prober's claims before they were deleted. It was that AmiKit contacted some software producers to remove their stuff from aminet and make it amikit only. As an amiga citizen, I would like this matter brought to light at least. Is this true ? Is there anything that has been removed from aminet, and made amikit only ?

Edit : It has been clarified by AmiKit that no software has been removed from aminet, but he has persuaded some authors to create amikit only updates. They're not available at aminet, but downloadable from amikit webpage here. I checked all if old versions are still available from Aminet. Thanks AmiKit.

@ Argo, I was just kidding in the AmigaKit post. I know the difference.

Countzero: Your thinking of AmigaKit.

To the rest you are off-topic. Please start another topic if you wish to discuss other issues.

What don't you get about the posting guidelines which state very clearly "no personal attacks".  You obviously have an agenda, and if you wish to continue this issue, take it to PM or better yet, somewhere else.

For the record, I've never met "Amikit" and I have no known affiliation for them.  This is a sheer matter of a personal attack for the purposes of pushing an agenda in an inappropriate thread.

It's an issue of trolling when someone says "Happy New Year" to which your response is a long tirade of "you're a crook"...  Sorry if you don't "get it" but the fact remains.

It would be about like if Bill Buck posted "Happy New Year" and I jumped in to -- once again -- point out all the slimy things he did to the people who worked for him (myself included).  While I may be justified, the timing is simply inappropriate.

Take it to PM or elsewhere.  Final answer.

Sorry for my mistake... In this thread Zahurancik thanks to all for support to him. I only wrote, what else this year made. And on end of my first deleted post I write - Thank you Jan Zahurancik for greatest support amiga community.

This is a personal attack? Sorry for that, in my country that say truth..

I wanted only know answer, why ones pages (with warez) lets close and on another similiar (with warez) refers from amikit official page???

If this is personal attack, then sorry....
