Wow, the blatant cash-grab from a Florida furniture retailer with delusions of grandeur turned out to be less than perfectly ethical? Who would have guessed?

Oh, that's right. Everyone.

You're just super, never forget that.  Don't pay attention to what the other kids say about you, I think you're just super.

Uhhh... that's note really fair, now is it? One person reports that he's got a problem and that translates into an ethical problem?

I'll grant you the illusions of grandeur, though... :)

(And, no, I'm no CUSA lover...)

Far from the first reports of difficulties with either the purchase process or the product itself.  Their forums, if you get on them before the negative posts are removed read like a horror show.

Or just a classic C64, but as for me my Atari 8-bits still get used way more than my C64's!

ok, funny comments aside (admitted), do you really think it rules C=usa into fraud corner as this is a single occurence, or there is more? just theoretically, im not interested in the current product choice either way.

FWIW a bloke over here in australia bought and received one

so the products do exist, I don't think this is necessarily malice on CUSA's part, just incompetence :P

They likely over sold their production. Took in more preorders than they could realistically manufacture and ship in a reasonable amount of time.
