Workbench Explorer 1.7 released

This is just a maintenance release, no new features added.  Download from the usual places.

Thx for this new release !

BTW I think I found a small bug : in the FTP module, if you go on aminet and select of file, you can have the preview showing the readme but once you right click and select "save as" the preview is gone so if you want for instance to add the version number to the download file you can not because you dont see it anymore !

anyway just a little thing and I like your explorer on my X5000.

Great job.
I try to use it as much as possible, but I find a problem, if the directory has many files, each refresh of the list takes a long time, you could not do a kind of cache (as in dir opus 4, the return to the list is instantaneous) ?

Thanks for your fantastic program.

Caching is a little bit harder for WEx since it pulls in much more info for files than DOpus does.  I think I can speed up some refreshes for some actions, but not all.  I am already working on v1.8 and added it to my To Do List.

If you have any ideas/requests/bugs, please post them.  I will be working on WEx for quite some time still.

You have to have FTPMount installed and running.  It is not OS4.1FE friendly for some people.  Then in WEx's Preferences -> FTP Sites -> Add.  Give it a name, host and user.  Look at FTPMount's docs for password usage.
