Hey people,
For any purchase regarding the Amiga....i have just one recommendation .......AMIGAKIT !!!!....Hats of to the people behind this organization.....really polite and helpful....they even tolerated my frequent mailers regarding my shipment with such politeness that it puts the hospitality industry to shame!!!!.....
i am a fan forever, thank you guys so much again!!!!
Saveen...
Now what do i buy next............. :-D
-
Ummm i forgot to mention i got my shipment ONE WEEK earlier than scheduled!!!!!
-
very nice, enjoy!
amigakit is a good dealer, it has been said many times in the past...
-
Amigakit rocks, one of my favourite dealers! (well there are not many left actually ;-) )
Any news on Efika, Matthew? When do you expect the first shipping and what is the estimated price?
-
True.. They're very good. They take care about customers and I have very positive experiences with them.
-
I concour, brilliant service
-
I Too Concur!
-
I have pruchased from them twice and the level of service is awesome. I hope we have some new hardware for them to sell soon ;)
-
I've bought from them several times and their now my favorite online shop. Great service! :-)
-
All I can say is, I totally agree.
Amigakit are the dogs doodas when it comes to anything Amiga related!
Mathew is a really nice guy, friendly and very helpful :-)
-
I agree with all that has been said too, but Shhhhh!!! Don't let Amigakit hear or read all this praise. Their head will swell up so large that they will no longer be able to fit through the door to their business. :-D
-
Yup! Amigakit is very helpful and there prices are good as well. Shipping has always be fair and fast.
I think there must be 15 threads posted here about how good they are.
Amigakit and Newtek both are great supporters of the Amiga.
-
I can only concur with what others have said about this great company - my thanks too Mr. Leaman and his team.
The only true Amiga dealer left I trust on the net at the mo!
(This may sound trivial, but I got my D-Box the other day and the other stuff I had ordered at the same time was cleverly put inside the case to save space. Good way of stopping it from being bulky and possibly affecting the postage costs.)
-
Bought from them probably eight times now. They really know what they're doing.. They should do a clinic on customer service for pretty much every other online business out there! "Earth to peesee retailers and e-businesses everywhere, are you listening??"
-
I've had Amigakit orders shipped to the US several times and always have been 100% satisfied with their service.
-
Just wanted to add that over rescent years I have purchased allot of bits and bobs from AmigaKit, I find their service to be excellent and friendly, postage fast and as far as online shopping in general goes they are far and above most of the rest.
Thank you AmigaKit.com :-)
-
Just to join in on the amigakit.com lovefest, I totally agree.
The way I buy amiga hardware is go to amigakit first and order it if they have it.
They are frankly the best vendor out there in my opinion.
-
Agreed. Amigakit are #1.
-
I feel I have to join in on the chorus here. The guys behind Amigakit are extremly helpful, friendly and delivers faster than anyone else.
Thank you, Amigakit, for being here and sticking with us.
-
Hi, hate to break up the love fest, but although I have purchased things from amigakit with great satisfaction. I have also purchased from Vesalia and softhut with great satisfaction. Give all the Amiga resellers a Hand. thanks
-
I'm suprised he hasn't posted here yet... Usually all over this place like white on rice! Always there with a product for solving problems.
Hell, I'm about to go buy something from there right now.
-
Just recently ordered a 4-device buffered interface for my miggy from AmigaKit, arrived the next day but was faulty.
They immediately sent out a working replacement, no quibble, no hassle.....now THATS service!
-
Shipping took only a few days for me, even though i live in Norway.
-
Ordered a Crystal and a socket on Friday afternoon and they arrived on Saturday. Superb service. :-D
-
AmigaKit is one of the best out there, I agree.
I've ordered a lot from there, always arrives quickly, usually next day. If there's something that's not in stock he'll see if he can get it. He was also nice enough to reserve something for me when I had to wait a few days for my paycheque to clear.
Top seller :)
-
I like Vesalia.de more because they have better prices
-
I bought the NETPCM003 PCMCIA NIC off of AmiKit a year or so ago, still going without any problems.
Brilliant service.
-
AmigaKit, my next door neighbour, well, virtually. what more can i say lol.
Spoke via email, one heck of a nice guy, keep up the good work. :-)
-
In these days where there aren`t many Amiga sellers to compete against, it is still nice to see that Customer Setrvice still ranks highly at AmigaKit!
I rang Matthew to see if he had an adapter to fit my A2000 keyboard to my A1200. Turns out, he had got the stock from Eyetech and he did, although it wasn`t on the website. However, within 4-5 hours it was, I ordered it and it cam the next day ;)
It`s not the 1st purchase I`ve made from them, and it won`t be the last ;)

Ja, I have ordered twice from him and I am just about to order a third time.
-
I have made 7 orders from them over the last 3 months, leaving behind around 900 euros :P
Very happy with the stuff and service!
-
Second that, uber-fast shipping of a recent order to Australia. Great stuff.
-
I must be one of the few then who is not happy with amigakit ...
I ordered a 1200 built-to-order with 4G HDD. First, I did wait almost 2 months to get it, it was somewhat excusable, because christmas was near and all. But when I opened the box there were few things that really pissed me off: mouse had a broken left button and was missing those pads which keep it sliding, the included 4G HDD went broken after 2hrs (started clicking and did not boot anymore). Plastic blind was missing from back of the computer, a screw was missing from case, floppy drive made horrible screeching noise, because it was not correctly installed and was loose. All screws were missing from D connectors at the back.
I was able to fix most of these things, I bought myself a new HDD and I found an old A500 mouse, but I expected more for that money ...
On the bright side it has nice white case with no yellowing at all, motherboard also seems like new, and works well.
I did not really expect that from them, I have read a lot of positive stuff about amigakit, and I did buy an ADF transfer kit from them once, with no problems at all.

@baxyp
Did you contact them about your issues and did they offer any resolutions?
I too am surprised as you can see from many of my posts, service has been great for me.
-
Sorry to hear of your problems- this is certainly the first time we have been made aware of this issue. We have not received any contact prior to your post.
PMail sent to you.
-
No, I have not made any contact with them after I got my Amiga. It seemed rather pointless, although I have 6 months guarantee, I am not really willing to send the mouse or my Amiga back to them, I'm quite far away from UK. It is much easier to walk into local shop and buy a new hdd, few screws and fix these things by myself. I'm just too impatient to use it, too :)
-
Well, is it really fair to talk negatively about them without giving them the chance to respond? I don't want to infer that your post was inflamatory at all, in fact, I think you choose your words well. However, people will read your posts and might get the impression that Amigakit does not support their products.
I am sure we would all be eager to hear how Amigakit and yourself could resolve this issue.

I should have contacted amigakit first of course, they are actually very supportive as I have now learned. I will get the plastic blind and new mouse, other stuff I have already ok.
As for talking negative: it was my impression when I received the package, it was sent out to me like that. My post did not concern their support in any way, because I simply have not had any previous experience with it. I had in fact already almost forgotten about the whole thing until I saw this praising thread.
But anyway, it seems things turn out ok, so if you have problems, contact them first, do not be so impatient with your new Amiga as me :)
Cheers
-
I would buy an A1200 from them, even if the above poster was sent one that was shoddily put together. However, since they don't supply it with a US PSU, I will get one here in the US.
I will use them for my add-ons though.
-
Yes, my wife got me a 68882 FPU for my accelerator for Christmas she was amazed at the great comms from them, the delivery was very fast.
She was well impressed.
Mike.

I've been having a few problems with Amigakit.... i ordered an a1200 MB with 3.1 ROMS and a Cocolino mouse adapter. It was probably my fault initially where i did something wrong during the order process and the order didn't get placed. I contacted Amigakit and they did respond and said the order was now sorted... several weeks later i got a parcel with the cocolino mouse adapter only and no motherboard. I sent another email to Amigakit asking them what the story was but haven't got a reply and that was about a week ago now.
-
VERY satisfied AmigaKit.com user here. I've spent quite a bit with them without a problem.
Highly recommend them!

Just over 800GBP worth of gear. Matthew is a gent. Orders would come through as quick as any mainstream market seller. If there is ever a problem, AmigaKit get to work on resolving things. Sometimes things can go wrong, through no fault of the seller (believe me, running godfreys online I know!) but AmigaKit always come through for you (if your request is reasonable!).
Matthew told me he used to work in Retail management, which explains why all the stock is properly labeled with bar codes etc. and your order is processed and notifications at each stage are sent via email.
I can tell you now, sometimes going that extra mile for your customers can cost you, but satisfying them when it is appropriate will ensure a great future for the retailer.
AmigaKit is a great player in the community too, attending shows and contributing to forums to offer solutions works well and I hope there is enough Amigans left to sustain this great entity.
This is one of those rare "happy" threads in the Amiga scene. Let's see more of this...

I too have had nothing but great service from Amigakit!
