Title: Amiga assembler programming tutorials by SCOOPEX!
Post by: CodePoet on April 21, 2016, 11:19:00 AM
Unsure if anyone's interested, 'Photon' of the legendary SCOOPEX demoscene group (est 1988) has been posting YouTube videos on ASM programming for the Amiga starting from scratch.

Here's a link to the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLc3ltHgmiidpK-s0eP5hTKJnjdTHz0_bW

I've learnt a huge amount about the Amiga from these videos over the past few days. Starts off with a simple tutorial on capturing a left mouse click by reading CIA registers.

Good videos to sit back and have a coffee to

Since the first post about it is from 2013 and it get only 4 posts, I'm not sure it'll interest many...
EAB is the place for people interested in such topics.

It's nice to be reminded about this. One day.... just one day I'll make a start!

Anyone know if there is a nice easy way to get this set up in an emulator?
My 1200 is currently in "Work In Progress" mode ...

The videos and the effects produced look great, but unfortunately I don't think I've been able to get any of the code to actually work on my Amiga A1200. I can't remember now exactly what the problems were.

Better use the same AsmOne to avoid problems. I think Scoopex target it's coding to A500 but I guess he's careful about Aga issues doing so.
This site is nice too in case you missed it. http://vikke.net/
