Just finished watching part 2, this is really great stuff, anyone who hasn't watched it is missing out, really see how the early pieces of the affordable computing revolution fell into place.

Thanks for posting this, and thanks to all involved. Part 3 starting soon. : )

I consider the videos to be a companion piece to Chuck Peddle's comments in the book, "On the Edge: The Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore".

I tried to watch the videos but it says missing plugin I think it must only work in IE (doesn't work in Firefox or Safari at least)

Just use VLC for everything - get's rid of all that 'install this codec and that media splitter' crap. I never ever use IE nor WMP.

I've got the latest VLC on my Mac and it still doesn't work.  :(

On a Mac, have you installed Flip4Mac WMV (the free or the Pro version)? With that component, you can view WMV files in Quicktime.

For those so interested, I can make you NTSC-viewable DVDs or DVDs with the data files, for the cost of the blank DVDs plus postage.

All the above videos have now been converted from the hated WMA format to the common MPEG-4 format.  Now you'll be able download and view them with less trouble.
