Amiga.org backed up?
« on: November 23, 2007, 09:21:19 AM »
Is Amiga.org backed up? I recently heard about a time several years ago where the site was hacked and everything was lost (including accounts). Is the site backed up to minimise the impact should this happen again?

Not everyhing was lost afair, but all acoounts were lost.  Think this was done on purpose.

It happened twice quite close to each other

@Akiko
Yes :-)

In all seriousness, I think it would be wise to keep everything backed up (including accounts) just in case the site is attacked again.

I know I have a mere number of posts but I would hate to see this place offline. Has been so useful to me in the past and present. :-) Better then *cough*LemonAmiga*cough*. :-P

Well post count aside, it would be so sad if this community were to "go missing". It would be reassuring to know that the database is backed up regularly.
